The Schwartz Law Firm is reviewing the FINRA action against Thomas Warren Jacobs (CRD #4139430) of Bay City, Michigan.
On August 3, 2026, FINRA issued a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent. Without admitting or denying the findings, Jacobs consented to a deferred $2,500 fine and a two-month suspension from association with any FINRA member, in effect from August 3, 2026, through October 2, 2026.
FINRA's findings state that Jacobs engaged in an outside business activity without giving his member firm prior written notice. He operated a dealer and distributor of boating products, organized as a limited liability company, with a long-time friend who was also a firm customer. The customer invested in the business. Jacobs shared authority over the company's bank account, communicated on behalf of the business, and was entitled to a share of its net profits. The findings also state that he inaccurately attested on at least one compliance questionnaire that he was not involved in any undisclosed outside business activity.
FINRA Case #2024084432001.
