The Schwartz Law Firm is reviewing the FINRA action against Mark Lawrence Sullivan (CRD #2531982) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
On August 6, 2026, FINRA issued a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent. Without admitting or denying the findings, Sullivan consented to a deferred $10,000 fine and a three-month suspension from association with any FINRA member, in effect from August 6, 2026, through November 6, 2026.
FINRA's findings state that Sullivan exercised discretion without prior written authorization when he placed 581 trades in the accounts of two customers. The customers allowed him to exercise discretion, but he did not have their written authorization, and his member firm had not accepted the accounts as discretionary. The findings also state that he caused the firm to keep inaccurate records by marking solicited trades as unsolicited, and that he inaccurately stated on three annual compliance questionnaires that he had not exercised discretion in customer accounts.
FINRA Case #2024083156201.
