(CRD #2232647, Houston, Texas)

January 9, 2026 – An AWC was issued in which Eduardo Leon Jr. was fined $5,000 and suspended from association with any FINRA member in all capacities for two months. Without admitting or denying the findings, Leon consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that he borrowed $750,000 from one of his securities customers without notifying or obtaining approval from his member firm. The findings stated that in August 2017, after Leon's home was damaged during Hurricane Harvey, he borrowed $250,000 from one of his customers, a wealthy person who had been his friend for 25 years. In September 2022, Leon later borrowed $500,000 more from the same customer. Neither loan was documented, and Leon has not repaid any portion of either loan. In April 2025, Leon’s firm discovered the loans and disciplined Leon by suspending him for one month and requiring him to forfeit two months' commissions. The suspension is in effect from February 2, 2026, through April 1, 2026.
